Betwixt.us- Mobile Social Network, 2014

Betwixt was conceptualized as a social network- connecting Founders to Funders of start-ups in a closed group that encouraged partnerships based on personality traits.

Nicole handled the business analysis, sitting with stakeholders to interview them on the business goals, audience profiles and their tasks and goals, competitor insights, functional requirements, and marketing and monetization plan. She then helped scope out and schedule the front end of the project, managing all the user research, information architecture, and interaction design, as well as working with Hugh to incorporate visual elements and branding. We did initial testing of the prototypes and handed off to the developers to implement.

Our thoughts

Betwixt was the first mobile app that I worked on from end-to-end as a UX Lead. It was fun having it evolve, and enabling the matching of people who have the same ideals and passions as each other, to make something great together.
This project diverged from my typical pursuits as an Art Director for ad agencies focused on pharmaceutical clients. I enjoyed basing the color scheme more on intuition and designing with a little playfulness. .
